Anita Chipalkatty is an expert in Indian cookery. She is a chef, teacher and mother with a passion for Indian cuisine. She runs 'Hobby Cooks' in Northampton, passing on her knowledge of authentic Indian cooking, gathered from her upbringing in India and travels as an adult.

Anita is on a mission to inspire and teach the cooking of practical, interesting and delicious meals using fresh produce. “There is no need for complicated ingredients when you have such great spices for taste and aroma,” she says.

Anita's workshops are designed to give you an insight into how to create stunning flavour in your Indian meals. They will run twice a day on each day of the festival at 11.15am and 2.15pm and will last for 45 minutes. You can make one of two easy and delicious street food dishes with exotic spices and a range of texture and sweet and tangy flavour. The choices are:

11.15am - Dabeli - A delicious street food with a blend of aromatic spices and chutney, you will be making the patties and blending the spice mixes a perfect winter warmer!
2.15pm - Pani Puri - A fried crisp, filled with a mixture of flavoured water, chutney, potatoes, and chickpeas.
